I was in a very bad situation before. I've managed to get away, but for now I need to focus on real life things.
While most of my roleplaying journals will be undeleted (if possible), I will not be playing with them for quite a while. I need to be safe and secure in my new place, away from the people who hurt me.
Mary Dahl AKA Baby Doll
Intro Mary Dahl suffers from a rare form of hypopituitarism, which prevented her growth and ability to show her age (which, despite appearances, is in her mid-thirties. When she hit puberty, rather than be given hormone treatments that might actually help her, Mary was instead given a starring role in the sitcom Love That Baby, and thus gained the moniker Baby Doll. The show was successful for several years, but was eventually cancelled due to flagging ratings. After a disastrous attempt at a stage career, Mary went into seclusion of ten years.
Personality When Mary is "on" she will display a more overtly cheerful persona, but there's always a sly undercurrent to what she says, even if she's using her childish "Baby Doll" voice at the time. Like she's in on some joke you don't know about. Crack through that, and you may see her "off-stage" self... more tired, far more bitter, and more philosophic.
Appearance Mary is only 3' 4" tall (102 cm), with fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair that she often wears curled into ringlets -- per her "Love That Baby" show appearance. At first glance, she looks like a five-year-old child. If she's not putting on a higher, more childish voice, her natural voice will give her away as being in her late 30s. It's one of the few things about her that matured as it should have.
Interests Mary loves acting, and would be happiest doing dramatic roles on the stage. (She has a hard time escaping the typecasting of her past sitcom role and the assumptions that people form due to her child-like appearance.) She also enjoys singing and dancing -- being a 'triple-threat' may not be rare these days, but it was especially a draw when she was younger.
Family Mary has no living biological relatives, save perhaps some second cousins she's never met in person.
